To Be A Fan: Nothing Feels Better Than Live Music

From patiently waiting for tickets to release online to queuing outside the venue… We’re all there for one purpose, hundreds of people who are fans of the same thing. The music is blaring and you can’t help but dance. You’re drenched in sweat, but it doesn’t matter. Nothing seems to matter in these moments, it’s an escape from reality and everything seems perfect. You know that feeling right? Do you know what I’m talking about?

“Whether you grew up on stage or behind the scenes, each and every individual is producing the same craft, striving to be on the cusp of something great.

I feel I’ve always had a niche for the overall aspect of pop culture, but if I were to get down to the nitty-gritty of it all, I would have to say that music was one of my first loves. I’ve always turned to music for a sense of fulfillment, and it never ceases to help me escape from reality. The whole art form of it all has been ingrained in me for as long as I could remember.”

“The very first artist to make an impact on my life was the king of Rock ‘n Roll, Elvis Presley. He is who I sought out to believe was soulful, raw and authentic–I’ve never heard a voice like his. All-in-all, it was his music that inspired me to sing, play various instruments, and pursue a life of music, beginning in my bedroom.

As a child, I would try to mimic his voice in a way that would frame remotely close to my natural voice, practice his breath control, match pitch or harmonize along with him, and so much more. Just to name very few of the many other artists that came along and shaped my musical tastes, they include Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Frank Sinatra, Dion and the Belmonts, Hillsong, Justin Timberlake, Tori Kelly, Marc Anthony, etc.”
