Jadakiss champions the integration of technology into hip-hop. The renowned raspy-voiced emcee has joined the advisory board of Fanmire, a fan engagement platform that connects content creators, artists, and athletes directly with their fans through exclusive virtual experiences. The partnership was officially established on April 20.

“I think hip-hop culture getting involved in tech should be mandated, especially for the artists,” Jadakiss, who performed at Mary J. Blige and Pepsi’s Strength of a Woman concert on Saturday, said in our interview at the Barclays Center. “You learn about streaming and you learn all these things that you have all these unanswered questions for…the best thing is to learn first and foremost hands on, get into it, then you’ll be a few steps ahead of the game for your own career.”
